This month, the Cristo Rey Boston community celebrates the Class of 2026 and the college decisions that will define their next chapter. As they prepare to graduate, seniors reflect on the experiences that impacted them along the way. Each student’s journey was shaped by the people who supported them and the experiences that helped them grow, persevere, and discover their strengths.
Jenayah highlights the consistent support she received from the College Counseling team throughout the application process. “My counselors didn’t just give me advice,” she says. “They provided one-on-one help that put me on my path to attending a Cristo Rey Network partner school.” In the fall, Jenayah will attend Providence College, where she plans to major in social work. Beyond academics, Jenayah says Cristo Rey Boston taught her the value of teamwork and staying open to learning from others.
Shnaika reflects on the support she received throughout her Cristo Rey Boston experience, especially through the College Counseling team and Corporate Work Study Program. “My counselors helped me stay organized and supported me every step of the way,” she says. “They made the college process feel much less stressful.” Through her work experiences, she developed skills in time management, leadership, and work ethic while exploring different career paths. This fall, Shnaika will attend Framingham State University, where she plans to major in pre-medicine and minor in environmental sciences.
For Jaiden, his time at Cristo Rey Boston helped him define his priorities and prepare for the future. Reflecting on his experience at CRB, he shares, “The teachers, coaches, and staff pushed me to stay focused on my goals and helped prepare me for college and life after high school.” He says he leaves CRB with stronger communication skills, a stronger work ethic, and relationships he will always value. Next fall, he will attend Worcester State University to study business with an interest in construction management.
“CRB gave me a community and support system where I could truly be myself,” says Adrien. “I came in as a shy freshman, and now I feel confident standing on my own.” He is grateful for the way Cristo Rey Boston encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone and grow in confidence over the past four years. This fall, he will attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to study pharmaceutical sciences and medicine research.
Juan reflects on the perseverance he developed during his four years at CRB. “Without Cristo Rey Boston, I wouldn’t have been able to attend or even apply to college,” he shares. “One of the core values of CRB is perseverance, and with everything I went through, I can proudly say I practice that now.” He plans to study biotechnology at University of Massachusetts Lowell this fall.
Tiffany acknowledges the role Cristo Rey Boston played in developing confidence in her own abilities. New and challenging experiences, both in academics and through the Corporate Work Study Program, gave her opportunities to push herself outside her comfort zone and discover what she is capable of. “If I’ve been successful before, then I know I can do hard things,” she says. This fall, Tiffany will attend Boston University on the pre-med track. “At CRB I realized that education is precious,” she reflects. “I can’t take this opportunity for granted.”
Though their paths are different, these seniors share a common foundation built at Cristo Rey Boston. With confidence in their abilities, a commitment to growth, and the belief that their futures are full of possibility, the Class of 2026 prepares to take their next steps. The entire CRB community celebrates all they have accomplished and all that lies ahead.
