Nutrition Policy
Cristo Rey Boston High School is committed to serving healthy meals, meeting nutrition and calorie requirements, and accommodating students’ cultural food preferences and special dietary needs.
Cristo Rey Boston High School participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs. As part of this program, CRB will offer healthy meals every school day at NO COST to the students due to the implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision. Students can get breakfast and lunch at school without paying a fee or submitting a household application.
Additionally, Cristo Rey Boston has established several guidelines to promote nutritional wellness, including but not limited to the following. Students receive a healthy and balanced breakfast and lunch, along with nutritional snacks provided for students who participate in after-school activities. School staff partner with the Food Project program to allow students to plant raised gardens and grow herbs and vegetables on the school grounds, promoting a better understanding of the value of fresh food. The time allotted for meals is sufficient for eating and socializing, underscoring the value of mealtimes.
