Dear Families and Students,
I want to share some reminders about the upcoming weeks with you.

First Full Day of School
The first full day of school is Monday, August 31. Please note that we are not doing orientations and will be going right into the start of classes on Monday, August 31st.

FACTS Financial Aid Form
As you have been made aware, enrollment is contingent upon the parent/caretaker completing the FACTS financial aid form, including submission of your 2025 tax return. Students will not be able to attend Cristo Rey Boston unless the FACTS Financial Aid form has been submitted. To submit the Facts Financial Aid form, please visit online.factsmgt.com/aid. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Griffin, jgriffin@cristoreyboston.org.

School Fee
Please make sure your school fee for the year is paid in full by September 30, 2026. If you need an extension or to set up a payment plan, please contact Ms. Griffin at 857-220-2470 to handle any issues.

Bus Pass
If your child is a Boston resident, an M7 bus pass will be provided to them in September.

Laptops

• Laptops will be issued during the first week of classes.
• Students will be issued new laptops. In order to receive a new one, the old laptop and charger must have been turned into school back in June.
  • Students who have not returned their laptop will be charged a $400 replacement fee.
  • Students who have not returned their laptop charger will be charged a $30 replacement fee.

Athletic Orientation

Fall Athletics registration is open on Arbiter Registration. Practices will begin on Monday, August 24. Athletic Orientations and concussion testing will be held team by team. Please reach out to Mr. Golden, Athletics Director, at sgolden@cristoreyboston.org, with any questions. Practice dates and times will be sent at a later date.

Health and Wellness

• Please turn in the results of your student’s most recent physical examination by the first day of school if you have not done so already.
• All students must be up to date with their immunizations as outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and all other related health forms. Please note we do not accept exemptions, including religious exemptions, for immunizations and vaccinations.
• Returning students must complete the “Consent for Over-Counter Medication” form (linked here!) and return it to school as soon as possible. This form must be completed every year.

Dress Code / Uniform Policy

• Only official CRB Polo imprinted with logo may be worn.
  • Choice of short or long-sleeve CRB polo in Navy or Gray.
  • Only solid, white undershirts.
    
• Dress Pants/Skorts
  • Khaki-colored or Navy Blue pants/skirts/shorts.
  • Pants should be neat and clean.
  • No jeans, cargo pants, sweatpants, leggings, or other non-dress pants.
  • Pants must be worn at the waist.
    
• Sweaters and Outwear
  • Only fleece or 3/4 Zips with the CRB logo can be worn at school or CWS placement.
  • No hoodies are allowed.
  • All other coats and jackets are to be stored in lockers.
  • Shoes must either be: Black, Blue, Brown. Gray, or White.
    
• Students May Never Wear
  • Hats, hoods, or sunglasses
  • Jeans (or any pants with external pockets), leggings, or white pants
  • Open-toed shoes or flip flops, work boots, crocs, Ugg’s, slippers, rain boots, snow boots
  • Outside jackets, hoodies, and workout style jackets or sweaters.
  • Earbuds or headphones on your head, around your neck or visible.

Attendance.
This year there will be a major emphasis on student attendance. There will be more details once the Parent Student Handbook is finalized. As a reminder, If your child will be absent, arrive late (tardy), or need to be dismissed early, please notify the school by email at eortiz@cristoreyboston.org or call 617-825-2580 as soon as possible.

School Supplies

Notebook for each academic class or a binder with paper and a section for each class.
Pens, pencils, notecards and folders
Water bottle (labeled with student’s name).

Parent and Student Handbook
Once the handbook is published, all students, parents and caregivers must complete and sign the handbook acknowledgment form by Friday, September 4th . The handbook will be sent to you via email.

Electronic-free Environment
This is a reminder that we are an electronic-free environment. The school adopts a cell phone “pouch” system through Yonder Solutions. It is a pouch system that involves locking away cell phones during school hours. All other electronics, including but not limited to earbuds, headphones, tablets, and unauthorized laptops, are not permitted. If any are visible, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the school day. The only electronic devices a student may have on them are the school-issued laptop and headphones.

CWS Reminder
Regular Corporate Work Study deployment will start the week of September 8th. Students going out to work will receive their placement details from their relationship managers at the start of the school year. Students are required to arrive for check in at CRB in-person at 8:00 AM in CRB uniform. Van students should arrive no later than 8:00 AM to check in for the vans. Students not placed to work are expected to arrive no later than 8:10 AM and check in with CWS in the Cafeteria for the ASPIRE program, a collaborative academic and corporate work study enrichment program for undeployed freshman to improve their academic and work readiness skills in advance of placement to external job partners. The program follows the academic day and schedule with lessons in core academic subjects as well as work-readiness. Students are expected to arrive to school on time, in uniform and prepared for their day with laptop, Yonder pouch, and appropriate materials.

School Hours and Schedule

• Doors will open at 7:30 AM. Students should be seated in their first class by 8:10 AM.
• Breakfast is free and available daily from 7:30 AM – 8:05 AM. A school lunch is also served as well.
• The school day concludes at 3:13 PM.
• There are times throughout the year that the school will do early release due to professional development or an enrichment activity. In those instances, families and students will be made aware through the weekly newsletter and a reminder communication the day before the event. The school building closes at 4:15PM.
